A Gift That Keeps on Giving: A Customizable First Aid Kit

Several years back when I was still working in the corporate world, my company would give out yearly Christmas gifts to all employees. One year we received first aid kits. This was not your average first aid kit; it was as they used to say, “The Cadillac of First Aid Kits.” Truly the most thorough kit I had ever seen.

At the time, we did not have kids yet and I wasn’t sure if we would use the kit much. As the years rolled on and kids came into the picture this kit was sometimes used weekly. I kept it in the car but would go out and get it even at home. I started to customize it to my kids needs and fill it with items we used most out at the park, beach or on long trips. I added things like hair ties, my migraine medicine, tweezers (for slivers), sunscreen, eye drops and Q-tips just to name a few. I absolutely loved this gift and still use it today. It keeps evolving with our family. I went searching to see if I could find another just like it for a baby shower gift, but no luck. I received this one about 16 years ago and was not able to find the exact one, I did however find a couple that are similar.

I am thinking that I will now go add more sanitizer, wipes, and masks to the kit.

Here are a couple that are similar and have the capacity to be customized with your own items.
